I come from a family of reverts and mainly non-Arabic speakers, so I have seen what learning to read looks like when Arabic is not already familiar. I grouped similar-looking letters together, created visual explanations and used mnemonics for the unfamiliar letters, so you reach real reading sooner.

I'm Maryam El-Kiki.
I'm a Hafidha, Quran teacher and trained educator with more than 10 years of experience teaching Quran.
I've taught hundreds of students across Quran reading, Tajweed and Hifdh, and my teaching focuses on taking concepts that can feel complicated and explaining them clearly, visually and step by step.
I hold a Bachelor of Education and Master of Teaching, and I bring that teaching background into the way I structure each lesson, choose examples and explain unfamiliar concepts.
My aim inside this course is simple: to teach you what you need to know to begin reading, then give you the tools to keep practising.

Frequently asked questions
I don't know a single Arabic letter. Can I take the course?
Yes. The course begins from zero and assumes no previous Arabic knowledge.
Two hours sounds short. Will I be fluent?
No. Two hours is enough to learn the system, not to become fluent. You learn the letters, the sounds, how letters connect and how to join them. That is the part most people spend months on. Your reading may be slow at first, and fluent reading develops through continued practice with any Mus'haf.
Is this a Tajweed or an Arabic-language course?
Neither. This course teaches you to read Arabic script for the Quran. It does not cover conversational Arabic, vocabulary or grammar, and it does not teach Tajweed rules, which is what Tajweed Made Easy is for.
I've already studied some Iqra or Qa'idah. Is this still suitable?
Yes, if you still struggle with connected letters or sounding out words independently.
How long do I have access, and do I need to finish in one sitting?
You have lifetime access for as long as the course is on the platform, and you work through the lessons at your own pace. You can finish whenever suits you and come back to any module as many times as you need.
